Idea: Chipotle for permission(s)

Description

This project involves creating a web-based platform that mimics the Chipotle assembly line experience but for managing and granting permissions in software applications. Users could customize their permissions in a similar 'build your bowl' format, selecting from different options, roles, and access levels. The MVP could focus on a single use case, such as user role management within a specific software environment. Users can drag and drop permission ingredients into their bowl (role) and generate a report or configuration file that can be applied to their system, allowing them to easily manage permissions without extensive coding knowledge.

Rating Descriptions

Business: There is considerable demand for user-friendly permission management tools in many software ecosystems, especially as more companies move towards more complex access control systems. This idea has the potential to evolve into a valuable SaaS tool.

Learning: Building this project will provide extensive learning opportunities in both front-end development (for the UI) and back-end logic (for permission management). Additionally, it will enhance understanding of user experience design and how to collect user feedback for improvement.

SideProject: While the concept is straightforward, translating it into a functional web application with a drag-and-drop interface and backend logic will require some focused work. It could take more than a week for one person, but it is feasible.
