Idea: Raybans for art(s)
Description
This project involves creating a wearable device akin to Ray-Ban sunglasses that incorporates augmented reality (AR) technology to enhance the viewing and appreciation of art. The sunglasses can overlay information about artworks in museums, galleries, or even street art, giving users insights into the artist, history, and detail about the piece. The Minimum Viable Product (MVP) could be a basic prototype that connects to a smartphone app, allowing users to point the glasses at an artwork, which then displays information via their phone screen. Initial testing could happen in a local gallery or art fair.

Rating Descriptions
Business: The art and technology sectors are booming, and integrating AR with art could appeal to both art enthusiasts and tech-savvy consumers. The potential for partnerships with museums, galleries, and local artists could create a lucrative business model through subscriptions or app purchases. However, competition with existing AR apps and devices poses a challenge.
Learning: Building this project would enhance skills in app development, user interface design, and AR technology. Additionally, it would provide valuable insights into business development, following trends in the art and tech industries, and understanding consumer behavior within a niche market.
SideProject: Building a basic prototype within a week may be difficult due to the complexity of AR technology and the need for hardware (sunglasses). However, creating a simple app that uses smartphone capabilities alongside a concept design for the sunglasses could be manageable for a solo developer.
